Overview:

November 2025 – January 2025

For this project, I was assigned to redesign existing labels and tray artwork to fit compliance information. This compliance information is necessary for the product to be sold in the Canadian market.

The compliance information included a French translation of all text, FOP Symbols, and Nutritional Fact labels.

Necto Soda Label Redesign

This project took a lot of revisions because of all of the little details that had to be correct in order for the soda to be sold in Canada. To meet regulations certain text like the 330ml on the label had to be a specific type height to qualify.

Another challenge I faced during this project, was having to fit all of the necessary text in both english and in french. I had to remove certain elements like the “recycle me” that were not required to be on the can. After some back and forth with the client we removed a lot of the original text to only what was required. Fitting everything in while not changing the original artwork and making it readable and not to cramped was the biggest challenge of this project.

Necto tray redesign

The tray also had to have a minimum line height for the 330ml and had be bold. Fitting all of the requirements on the side was the original plan, but dimensions that the client gave me were wrong so I had to scale the artwork to the right size. After scaling the artwork the nutrition label was too large to add to the side, so the client suggested to put it on the bottom of the tray.
